Medical Hydromed Mattresses
They are ideal for all those people who have to spend long periods of time in bed and are therefore susceptible to bedsores (decubitus). This is particular for those people being nurse at home and in care homes.
At present more than 30% of outpatient care and even 50% of people being cared for in homes have a higher risk of decubitus. Our anti – decubitus mattresses have been successfully tested both technically and practically. They have been approved as a Class 1 medical product and have been accepted in the Health Insurance Fund care catalogue for prescribable products.
All kinds of reusable products are managed in this so – called pool of Health Insurance Fund. It contains all kinds of wheelchairs, walking frames, anti – decubitus mattresses (e.g. alternating pressure mattress systems) and lots more. The Health Insurance Funds are urgently striving to provide patients with products from this pool out of economic reasons and are disregarding individual purchasing.
It is especially noticeable in the field of nursing that many insurers and their relatives are faced with solving the problems of fulfilling their needs with high quality service and products by themselves. They often only receive back part of the cost from the Health Fund and in most cases often have to pay the whole cost themselves.
